Aachen, Germany — Exit November 2004 — AIXPLAIN AG was a German corporation founded in 2000, developing human language technologies that are self-learning. Part of the offering was machine translation and automatic speech recognition. AIXPLAIN AG was formed as a spin-off from the University of Technology in Aachen, Germany, where AIXPLAIN AG had its headquarters. In 2004, the AIXPLAIN assets were sold to AppTek. The founders of AIXPLAIN AG are today leading researchers and executives in Fortune-500 companies in the field of speech recognition and machine translation.
